The team for Saturday is as follows:
Gk - Kim
RB - Nicky
CB (Lower) - Tor
CB (Higher) - George
LB - Fiona
RM - Lorna
CM - Emma
LM - Vicky
F (Lower) - Lex
F - Jo
F - Lizzie
Enjoy the game. Defend as a unit protecting the middle of the pitch. Stop them from getting near the "D". Please try and work together and try not to get too stretched. If we can see that the forwards are at one end of the pitch and defenders at the other then we are not attacking and defending as a team. Stay compact especially when defending.
Please bring white kit - socks and top
11.30am start away at Clifton
9am prompt meet at the Sports Club
Good Luck
See you on Monday

Devizes 1 Wootton Bassett 3
Well played girls. A good hard working performance.
There were some very encouraging signs particularly the way we defended once again. If we defend like that (as a unit) all season in our league we will be very hard to break down. There were also some very nice patterns of play particularly down the right hand channel. Short corners worked nicely but we will try and have two players at the top from now on - one to stop and one to hit.
They were a very good side but we need to improve our skill levels. That includes basic passing and control of the ball. We need to be patient and stronger on the ball - there are too many occasions when we give their players an opportunity to take the ball off of us. Finally, we must not run in a straight line. It is very easy for defenders to tackle us at the moment. We need to run diagonally or laterally with the ball and off the ball. When we do this we must try and keep our sticks on the ball virtually all the time because then if the defenders try and tackle they will hit our stick and concede a foul. We need to be much stronger in the tackle.
We will work on this in training
If you have any questions particularly about the formation please come and have a chat with me

Good Start
Well done - good performance.
I was very impressed. We played like a team and were in total control of the game. We defended as a unit and the short corners worked really well. We must continue to try and attack wide to stretch their defence and run laterally across the pitch to drag their defenders from side to side. At the back, we need to pass around more and not force down line. Finally when we get near the D lets be more clinical and put the game out of reach when we are dominating.
Great stuff
Really good draw as well for the 2nds
